Commentary Wayne's World 2 is the hilarious sequel to Wayne's World. Both films are based on the Saturday Night Live sketch "Wayne's World", starring Mike Myers and Dana Carvey as a couple of crazy teenage rock music fans with their own public access cable TV show. In this film, Wayne and Garth decide to organize a rock concert called Waynestock (in the spirit of Woodstock). As usual, their acting and the movie as a whole is a riot.
Plot Summary Wayne's World 2 begins a year after Wayne's World ended. Now both teens are living on their own, but still broadcasting their show, now from an old abandoned doll factory. In a dream, the late Jim Morrison visits Wayne and tells him to organize a rock festival. Wayne and Garth decide to do so. They travel to England and meet a Roadie there named Del Preston, who helps them. They organize and hold the concert in Aurora, IL, their hometown, and it turns out to be a huge success, featuring Aerosmith, Rip Taylor, Pearl Jam, and Van Halen.
Old TV Commercials
Three old TV commercials are spoofed in Wayne's World 2. First they spoof the Jhirmack Shampoo commercial in which they repeatedly divide up the screen and say, "You'll tell two friends, and they'll tell two friends, and so on, and so on, and so on." Then they spoof an old Calgon detergent commercial, in which Wayne sarcastically comments to Cassandra when he sees that she uses Calgon, "Ancient Chinese Secret?" Finally, the famous crying Indian scene is spoofed at the end of the film, when the Indian chief shown throughout the film ends up crying at the trash left behind after Waynestock.
