    Commentary
Honeymoon in Vegas is a hilarious romantic comedy starring Nicolas Cage, Sarah Jessica Parker, James Caan, and 38 Flying Elvises. The acting is very good, particulary that of Nicolas Cage, who portrays a frustrated lover who's hesitant to tie the knot. The story is quite amusing. The movie also has some breathtaking scenes of Hawaii as well as Las Vegas.

    Plot Summary
Jack Singer (Nicolas Cage) has a very difficult mother who makes him swear to her on her deathbed that he'll never get married. As a result, he fools himself into thinking that marriage in general is bad and that most marriages don't work out. He's in love with a beautiful young woman named Betsy (Sarah Jessica Parker), but he's afraid to tie the knot with her. Finally, after much coaxing, he decides to elope with her in Vegas. Things go bad however once he runs into con man Tommy Korman (James Caan), who falls immediately for Betsy since she reminds him of his former wife Donna.

Tommy cons Jack into playing a promotional game of poker with him. Jack does well for awhile, but ends up losing $65,000 to Tommy when dealt a straight flush and shown a higher straight flush. Since Jack can't pay, Tommy makes a deal with him to let him borrow Betsy for the weekend.

Tommy ends up taking Betsy to Hawaii, much to Jack's devastation. Jack tries to rescue her, but Tommy and his guards hold him back. Tommy proposes to Betsy and she agrees to marry him, but shortly thereafter she changes her mind and wants Jack back. Jack ends up flying to Vegas along with a group of Flying Elvises and finds he must skydive along with them! He succeeds and wins back Betsy.

    Elvis Impersonations
Elvis songs are played and Elvis impersonators are shown throught the film. Some of the Elvis impressions are quite funny, including a Chinese Elvis, a Black Elvis, and a child of about ten impersonating Elvis.
